Varsity Head Coach: Amy Dolores
Amy Dolores has served as Head Coach of the Bishop Feehan Girls Basketball Team since 2019 after having worked for over 10 years as an assistant on the Feehan coaching staff. Coach Dolores has compiled a 90-23 record, including an 11-2 record in the state tournament. In 2024, her team won the Division 1 State Championship, after advancing to the State Championship game for the second consecutive year. The 2024 team finished 21-4, the program's third straight 20 win season, and won the Catholic Central League title while playing the most challenging schedule in the state for the second year in a row. Dolores was named the 2023-2024 Boston Globe Division 1 Coach of the Year and the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 Massachusetts Basketball Coaches Association Division 1 Coach of the Year.
During her tenure, players have earned All-Scholastic Honors from both the Globe and Herald; and Player of the Year and All-Academic Team Honors from the Massachusetts Basketball Coaches Association as well as League and Sun-Chronicle All-Stars. A number of players have moved on to compete collegiately at D1, D2, and D3 schools including SUNY Binghamton, Stonehill College, Colby College and Babson College.
Dolores is the Director of the Shamrock Girls Basketball Camp which serves over 140 campers each summer and has run school vacation clinics for the area youth. She has a strong commitment to developing leaders and has participated in MIAA/MSAA Female Student Leaders Workshop and the MIAA’s Girls and Women in Sports Day. Dolores earned a full tuition academic scholarship to Villanova University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and she holds a Master’s degree in Education from Providence College. As a player, she captained an undefeated, state championship basketball team at LaSalle Academy. Coach Dolores also serves as an Assistant Athletic Director and math teacher at Bishop Feehan. She resides in Mansfield with her husband Josemaria and three children: Ayla, Derek and Dominic.
