Bishop Feehan High School is proud to announce Abigail Soutter as the new Head Coach for the Varsity Volleyball Team. Coach Soutter brings nine years of experience coaching and training volleyball athletes, including four years with top club programs in Ohio where her teams consistently finished seasons ranked among the state's top ten. She has coached at every level—from regional to national—and is dedicated to developing competitive, confident players.
After relocating to Massachusetts, Coach Soutter joined Lockdown Volleyball Club, where she is entering her fifth season. In her early years with the club, she led her teams to numerous successes on and off the court, frequently finishing in gold brackets at tournaments. She also served as the Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach at Old Rochester Regional High School during the 2022–2023 season. This year marks Coach Soutter's third season as the Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach at Wheaton College. She will also serve as the Head Coach for the 15U NERVA All-Stars—her third time coaching a NERVA All-Star team.
Coach Soutter has led a wide range of youth programs, including clinics, camps, skill sessions, open gyms and private lessons. She prioritizes strong fundamentals and proper technique while fostering a fun, positive and hardworking environment.
Coach Soutter's volleyball journey began in third grade in Texas, playing in a local youth league. She went on to compete for Lonestar Volleyball Club and Frisco Flyers before moving to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she continued her development with Cincinnati Volleyball Academy and Cincy East Volleyball Club. In high school, she played at Milford High School—first as a middle hitter on junior varsity, then as a varsity setter for two seasons. After her playing career concluded, Coach Soutter transitioned into coaching, where she discovered her passion for athlete development.
Outside of volleyball, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.
